Day 3,Living With Sickle Cell Anemia

Good Morning, Another Day here in the evil place. I might make two post today. I’m not happy to be honest. I can’t eat or drink to I get my port. YAY for the port, boo that I can’t have anything to eat or drink. We have subway here at the hospital so it’s not like I would eat the hospital food. I would love a cup of coffee right now. I had another lovely nurse last night she went and go my sub for me last night. 🙂 I’m still waiting to get my transfusion, I need two units instead of one. I believe they have one right now, but not the other one. Sighs! I’m a little nerves about the port, but I need it, because I don’t know how much more I can take getting stick. I saw my little lady yesterday, she didn’t want to leave me. I was so happy to see her. I told her I would call her and check on her, but I feel bad since I was in so much pain yesterday. I had forgotten to call my little lady. She didn’t want to talk to me today. I can’t blame her. I saw my doctor yesterday. I seem to have to start seen a sickle-cell doctor since I’m having more crisis then every before. Oh yea lucky me I have to add another pill to my collection. Sighs! If you all don’t know I hate taking medication. I can understand take them every now and then when you have pain, but to take them so you wont have pain is another story. Well that all for now, I do hope each and every one of you is having a lovely day.

  1. Good morning PJ! I am so happy you had a kind nurse last night. The port is the best idea, but the not eating and drinking into they can do that is rough I know. Please try not to be nervous, we will be praying! The sickle cell specialist doctor makes me relieved, he maybe will suggest some new alternatives. Little Lady will forgive you PJ, she saw you yesterday and didn’t want to leave. Maybe she’s just sad you’re not home, I am sure she will be talking to you sometime today.She loves you so much, there’s no doubt! 🙂 I know you hate taking all those meds, but try to hang in there sweetie and we have to keep praying for a cure! I am as usual taking up tons of space here, I know a surprise. 🙂 Just wanted to touch base and let you know prayers are rolling and sending you love and hugs! 🙂

    1. Gabby, I don’t mind your long replies I actually love it! 🙂 Yea I know she will eventually. I did get a kiss from her before she left me yesterday, she looked so sad. Thank you for checking up on me 🙂 Yea I use to go to him when i was younger, but my sd never been so a bother till now. Thank you for your prayers Gabby. You such a BLESSING to me. Yes, she the nurse that told my favorite nurse about the other nurse been rude. She told me she had heard it all. Its good to know nurses look out for me. The nurse I had yesterday, says she going to come visit me today. she is such angel. I actually got her set up on here. Yes maam I hate taking medication.

  2. Oh, journey, I am just heart-broken you are in so much pain, absent from your dear little miss, and have been pronounced in more critical condition. I AM very happy, like Gabby, that you are now fixed up with a specialist in your condition. I pray that will bring much more effective treatments to allow you to return to a relatively normal family life.

  4. Hi PJ 🙂 I agree with all Gabby said and I’m just glad you will now have a sickle cell doctor! Maybe things will get better, and he will get it all worked out. I hope you keep having the nice nurses, too. It helps to have a nurse that cares and is kind. Ahhh, Little Lady will get over it 🙂 she loves you. I am praying and sending you lots of hugs and love ❤
