Come find out have fluid in my lungs, seems I may have a touch of pneumonia.  I have a great group of people on my team here. It took me awhile get on the floor dis morning. I’m trying write to distract me from my pain.  It’s not really working. My port still not letting them pull blood from it. So when they came around to check port I let them know and she reclog it to get it working. I’m not ready to get it replace. I know it still works,  it can be flush and I can get fluids, and meds. My right hand is swollen real bad so I’ll cut dis post short with you all. I pray all is well with each and everyone of you all. God Bless:)

Hey  and Welcome to my World! Im in hospital once again, idk whats going on with me! My fight is getting the best of me! So many times I thought to give up! I know God has a purpose for me! I woke up Friday with terrible chest and back pain. I couldn’t hardly talk are breathe. My main concern was I hope im not having heart attack. I did get scare with my port, and I was praying it was okay. The nurse had put the tape to tightly on my port! It was on fire, for the one’s that know im hard person to stick! They had unhook me from fluids, and thought about accessing it again. Good news, they didnt. Even better news its feeling much better 🙂 Blood Count is holding its on, which is extremely good! I don’t plan on receiving blood! The pain is getting much better , which is good since im tired of hospitals! Bless with good nurses and doctors once again. Until next time! I pray all is well with each and everyone of you all 🙂

Living With Sickle Cell Anemia

thumbnailSCDToday wasn’t a good day! My pain has got worse since last post. I went to primary doctor, honestly didn’t do me no good! He treated me either kidney problems or either I got ulcer. I can’t sleep at night as it is. My sickle cell nurse told me if it get worse to go to hospital and get admitted! My primary wasn’t getting my sickle cell problem, I wasn’t worry about the problems he talking about! If I stress it kick my illness in worse 10 time worser! I can’t move or use both my arms to extent! My left side still bugging me. My second week of new term started today. So as you all know that been with me. This isn’t looking to good with stress. I have appointment with blood doctor tomorrow and I’m not even feeling him right now cause of all the pain I’m in. You can’t stick me! Nor check my blood pressure at this point in time. Now if they can get blood from my port that’s what’s up! But I ain’t having the abuse right now. To the next post. God Bless 🙂

Doctor Appointment (update)

I had doctor appointment on Wednesday since I got since I got some lab work done!  I must say that I’m thankful for the prayers because I receive some good news back! Only one thing was low,but so what long as it wasn’t a 21, that’s when they and I have to worry! I believe I do the most worrying! I actually did some Tuesday when the nurse took to long! Makes you wonder what I have port for if they move slow as tropical Issac that’s coming my way may be! I provably should had said coming to U. S right? I can’t tell you what’s more stressful doctor visits or math problems?  I hate math as much as the doctor office!  Lol! Oh yea back to the nurse taking her time, you would think hospitals have ton of them that know how to access port right?  NO! WELL enough on my update, be on the lookout in a few weeks! I so wish I had twin to step in my place, I hate needles, any takers? Just playing I’m just thankful for who all go out and give blood for me and so many others in need! God Bless & Goodnight!

Living With Sickle Cell Anemia

The month almost over and I must admit I’m excited. If you have been on my JOURNEY since the year came in! I have been in hospital every month since September! God has heard my prayer for the month of MAY to be good for me! 🙂 I haven’t been feeling my best, but hey I’m not in hospital bed hook up to machine. I actually had doctor appointment today, it went good. I have to go out and get some blood work done, so I can see how good it really went 🙂 I was supposed to get some lab done on my birthday, but it seem they thought they was finna stick me instead of using my port! I don’t think so. Last time I got stuck to get blood lets just say I didn’t enjoy the pain of getting stuck! The nurse had the nerve to move the needle around in me, because well the blood had mind of its own! lol! Back to monday they nurse never came and it started raining hail and whatnot. I was like I’ll come back because I wanted to get home. Once I get my labs back, I’ll let you all know how it went. I know I have been quiet a little this month, havent been feeling my best but just praying that it didn’t send me to evil place (hospital). I had a few visit before the month came in, lets just say my patience with ignorant doctors, have run dry. Seem the ER keep getting more ignorant one’s than intelligent one’s. I don’t know!  My blood count has been holding its on like around 7.5 or 7.6. I would love for anything higher if you know like I know, but always please it’s not 6.

I have some good news, I finally start seen the Sickle Cell specialist next month. I will keep you all updated about how it goes. I’m so thankful for all the prayers you all have rolling in for me, it truly means a lot to me. Go truly Bless me with some good friends! I do hope all is well with each and every one of you!

Day 4-7, Living With Sickle Cell Disease

I do hope everyone had a good weekend and Easter. JESUS IS THE REASON. I’m still in the hospital, I haven’t got the okay to go home, so hoping to get it in the morning. Thank You all for the prayers and kind words of encouragement. The last time I posted about the hospital I receive 1 unit of blood, it was touch and go for a while because my count didnt wont to go up. I was so happy to hear it went up, but still low. I’m hoping it be 8 by the morning. I guess when they come around in the morning and wake me out my sleep I shall find out. Everything still not top-notch, but I’m alive and that all that matter. I was really shock that I got sick so soon and had to get transfusion when I just got one a few weeks ago. I was at the point of throwing in the towel, because I was just tired of hearing my blood count was low and like it wasn’t going to go anywhere. I must say I actually enjoying all the rest I’m getting, gave me time to catch up on homework when I had the strength to go there. 🙂 I have had some good nurses while I’m here so that always a plus. Have met some new one’s as well, and met some ole one’s I met long time ago. I’m not in much pain as I was when I came in, just a little every now and then.  I hope I didn’t leave anything out. I must say Im so thankful to have my port, because I know I wouldnt be able to handle getting poke and stuck when it came to getting blood work done! God Bless Each & Everyone Of You 🙂

Living With Sickle Cell Anemia

Hello and Welcome to my place, if you new to my JOURNEY, you may not know I just recently got out of the hospital for been in there for about a week! sighs! If you been on my JOURNEY, you all know the routine and thank you all for staying with me for the long ride. I never imagine it would be so bumpy. I have never seen the inside of hospital as much as I have this year. I suppose it’s the first time for everything. Well not just this year, since the year just came in. lol. I have never seen the inside of hospital every month. Usually just once or twice and sometimes none. I truly miss the times I didn’t see inside the hospital. I’m glad I finally got my port, on my last stay, so I don’t have to worry about  getting stuck so much when I do have to visit doctor office as well as the hospital. I’m hard person to stick. Every since I been out the hospital I haven’t been feeling my best. I have been in pain ever since. I find out yesterday I’m actually in the process of having a crisis, but were trying to do everything to prevent it before it get out of hand. I’m happy to let you all know, my blood count is looking good. YAY! I hope it still looks good, when it comes to check up or if I have to return to hospital because for some odd reason I can’t get my pain under control. I must admit did have nice looking doctor yesterday with the prettiest darkest blue eye’s. I’m a sucker for them. Okay you getting to know me a little bit more 🙂  On side note, my little lady has been sick as well with ear infection, she is starting to feel a little bit better. THANK GOD! If it was anything besides ear ache, I couldn’t be around her. She been saying, but I love you. 🙂 Okay back to the point of my post. I haven’t been feeling my best, right now I’m still not feeling the best that I should be feeling. I’m actually in the process of watching a movie with my little lady.  I just hope my blood count stay the same, since it was looking good, but long as I’m hurting that means it got plenty time to betray me. 😦 I’m praying it stay up and going strong. I’m so thankful for the one’s who or still praying for me and holding me in their thoughts. It means a lot to me! I must admit, the day I came home from hospital I did tell the doctor I wanted to come home even if I was in pain, but to be honest, I had started to feel better. The weather has been a little crazy here.

Day 5,Living With Sickle Cell Anemia

Good Afternoon, Had rough night! I’m getting use to the port, actually started using it yesterday. So happy that I don’t have to get stuck anymore! YAY! Had accident with one of the nurses last night, I thought I had lost my pc. She knock my poor baby off the table and hit the hard floor. So happy she didn’t break because she not even two months ole yet. The nurse was like I’m not worry about buying you another one, I can do that. I just don’t want you losing your school work.  So I receive a unit of blood last night, because they were worry about it dropping some more. I don’t know when I’m going home just yet. I’m still having some pain, which isn’t a good thing. 🙂 I did receive good news my count went up with the one unit. I was worry that it wouldn’t go up much since last time it didn’t move much. Sad to say little lady still not taking my calls. I don’t know how I feel about that. I don’t know if she think I turn my back on her and not coming back or she just holding a grudge on me. I can’t wait to get home so I can have a serious talking with her. I enjoyed hearing my little man try to talk while on the phone. More like whine because his uncle took his fork from him. I can’t believe I’m missing them this much. 😦  I know I say I’m thankful all the time for all the encouraging words and prayers from you all. It truly does mean a lot to me. I shall keep you all updated on when I go home and whatnot. I know I’m off to the end of the month with school.  I must admit I’m excited about that. God Bless 🙂

Day 3,Living With Sickle Cell Anemia

Good Morning, Another Day here in the evil place. I might make two post today. I’m not happy to be honest. I can’t eat or drink to I get my port. YAY for the port, boo that I can’t have anything to eat or drink. We have subway here at the hospital so it’s not like I would eat the hospital food. I would love a cup of coffee right now. I had another lovely nurse last night she went and go my sub for me last night. 🙂 I’m still waiting to get my transfusion, I need two units instead of one. I believe they have one right now, but not the other one. Sighs! I’m a little nerves about the port, but I need it, because I don’t know how much more I can take getting stick. I saw my little lady yesterday, she didn’t want to leave me. I was so happy to see her. I told her I would call her and check on her, but I feel bad since I was in so much pain yesterday. I had forgotten to call my little lady. She didn’t want to talk to me today. I can’t blame her. I saw my doctor yesterday. I seem to have to start seen a sickle-cell doctor since I’m having more crisis then every before. Oh yea lucky me I have to add another pill to my collection. Sighs! If you all don’t know I hate taking medication. I can understand take them every now and then when you have pain, but to take them so you wont have pain is another story. Well that all for now, I do hope each and every one of you is having a lovely day.

P.s I’m so thankful for all the prayers and lovely comments, they truly help my day go by. God Bless:)
