My Love Journey P.10

Hello and Welcome to My Love Journey, if you new make sure to check the other post out with the same title just different number.

Today my question is well you might laugh how I got inspired to ask this question, but hey don’t judge me. I was watching the movie LegallyBlonde, must admit it was one of my favorite movies. 🙂  Have you ever change to be with someone? If you seen the movie you know what exactly I’m talking about. So many time’s, different one’s made me feel like I had to change, but deep down I knew I was comfortable been who I was and not who they wanted me to be. Before I came to WordPress, I use to be on xanga. I read a few blogs with different one’s talking about how they had to change. Some change their looks, felt like they had to lose weight to be with someone, had to lose there V just so they could keep the person they wanted and believe that felt the way as they did. I believe the only person we need to change for is ourself and God and nobody else. I can understand you change when you finally see what they was saying but you just couldn’t grip the reality of it.

I love to hear from my fellow followers, so do share your opinion/thoughts on this situation. I surely can’t wait to hear from ya’ll. If I have forgotten something, I make sure to comment to your question.

  1. I haven’t ever changed to please anyone else. I was blessed with Dave, who never wanted me to change a thing about me. This was an interesting question PJ, I got a smile you were inspired by that movie! 🙂 In my honest opinion, we never should change our true and real selves. We would be a fake person, so how is some guy supposed to know who the real person is? Always stay true to ourselves I say! I agree with you PJ that we shouldn’t change except for ourself or God. 🙂

As for changing one self to be part of something or impress someone then nope those who really like you will accept you just the way you are…

  4. PJ, I agree with you and Gabby! No one should change, just to please another person. Be true to yourself and that special person will love you for who you are, not who they want you to be. If that’s what they require, then it’s time to move on… 🙂

  5. I agree that you should never change just to make someone else happy but I would do it if I knew my actions were hurting that person or people around me.

I say, concentrate on what’s important, not on what’s superficial. If a guy harps on about your weight, hair, boob size or whatever, he’s being superficial and it says a lot about his character. Of course, for some women there’s a fine line between what’s important and what’s not… ;P

  6. Right on, Sistah Journey! We should listen respectfully to the ideas of others, pray carefully and quiety and peacefully about those ideas, then wait for the leading of, and confirmation from, the Holy Spirit about what to do with those ideas. Sometimes God is speaking through friends and family and even strangers to us. He will let us know if this is the case.
