Day 2, Living With Sickle Cell Anemia

I like to thank everyone for there kind words and prayers, I haven’t got to all my comments just yet, but have read them all. Truly touch my heart to hear you all praying for me. Early this morning got news I need to have tranfusion, my blood count has drop to 7.0! I’m not happy about it dropping because I believe it could’ve been prevented ahead of time. Before I came to hospital yesterday I receive some upsetting news, that my paperwork hasn’t been fax so I can see sickle cell doctor. Everytime I call and my blood doctor call they said they was faxing it over right then. We shall see how that goes. Its going to take awhile before they find my blood, so I have been told and I have been through this so many times in the past. Hopefully so many peeps done went out to donate blood 🙂 I do have a nice nurse today, the other nurse went home before she wasn’t feeling her best. Just waiting to see the doctor to see what he have to say. Thats all I have to share with you all for now. I shall keep you posted.

  3. Thank you for keeping us updated PJ, there are many of us who love you and are worried. Of course this waiting for the blood for a transfusion has sometimes been difficult and I can’t remember what type you have. Oh my goodness the news of your paperwork not getting faxed over to the Sickle Cell Doctor has me upset, too. Well, praying they get on that and quickly! I am also praying for you and so happy so many readers and friends here are praying, too. I was happy to hear you have a nice nurse, that always does make things better. I am sorry to make this comment so long, but you know me! Don’t worry about answering, just rest sweetie and keep us all posted when you can. Love, Hugs and a Smile 🙂

      I’m so touch by all the peeps who donate blood, if I could do it. I would love to do it, but we all know I need all the blood I can keep 😦 Thank you for your prayers! God Bless 🙂

  6. I hurt for you: I truly do! So very sorry that doctor’s office let you down by not faxing in a timely manner! Glad for your good nurse! Praying extra hard for that bloodcount of yours right now! We love you so much out here, journey!

  9. uh!! I am sorry to hear that you back in the hospital again, P.J. I am praying for you as always. Keep the faith, and don’t ever give up! Maybe you are asking yourself why? But you and I know that we’ll never know the answer to some things. Hang in there and try and make the best of a bad situation. I wish I have the power to change your situation.
