Mother
Mother
You have left
And I feel alone
I come to the grave
With regret and blame
In my heart
I coulda been a better
Daughter
Shoulda did right by
You
I know you gone
But here I feel so
Close to you
Mother
Mother
I wasnt ready for you
To leave

Bless you for this heart-felt poem of daughterly love and respect. I have been feeling especially close to my own mother (who passed in April of 2000) in the lead up to Christmas, especially as I write every day! She is smiling and nodding at me in encouragement!
