Hey and Welcome to my thoughts. I have redone My about me so many times in my head. It seems like whatever I come up with, just doesn’t sit right with me. Years ago I got encouraged to blog my illness by a wonderful nurse. Sad I can’t even remember his name. Makes me wonder if I saw him would I recognize him. Back then I was out and in of hospital. I never thought I would feel comfortable about sharing my story. But with everything going on around the world with many others that fight this disease l, why not share it with yall. The good and the bad the up and the downs. Must say glad I made myself home here at WordPress. I share my love of God, poetry as well as my love for psychology. I have a book in mind I been working on and even share my thoughts and experience on love.

So stay and take a ride through my love journey, my struggle with my sickle cell and anything else I share along way. Can’t promist you it wont get bumpy. So buckle up and enjoy.

  1. Yay, I’m your first!!!… Commenter, that is. 😉

    I saw your post at a friend’s blog… Are you new to WordPress.com, and were you thinking about moving your Xanga blog over? If you decide to, it isn’t as hard as it seems; I once was on Xanga as well. I’d say the biggest difference is that you can tweak the html/css in Xanga for free & Xanga’s got the groups feature that are similar to the old web rings.

    Some themes you choose will have more features open/unlocked to you, so if you want something like Xanga’s “Pulse” feature, for example, you should look for a theme that has “Aside” posts as an enabled feature. Aside posts are short-n-sweet like Pulses, Tweets, or FB statuses. Some themes also have “Quote” features so you can post a quote instead of a blog post — it will be displayed differently. Same thing with “Gallery” posts (like a photo album), “Image” posts (1 pic showcased), and there’s also themes that have “Sticky” and “Featured” enabled.

    If you can’t find time to blog near a PC/laptop but find yourself sitting in public transportation or wherever & wishing you could make a quick post, there are free WordPress apps to help! They make it fairly easy for you to be a WordPress addict, let me tell ya! 😉

    If you can’t think of what to write about, check out The Daily Post for ideas and inspiration, as well as for posts made by others who use some of the topics mentioned.

    I’d say that the important thing is to choose a theme that best suits the type of posts you do, tweak the Appearance & Settings of your blog to reflect your personality, make/use an avatar image besides the default, and then check out other established WP blogs that you might like & follow/subscribe to them or leave them comments, so that they (& their followers) will hopefully help you gain a few followers of your own. 🙂

    1. Thank You for bn the first to help me out. I was wondering if I was doing the right thing or not. I have the app on my phone. So I’m like happya bout that I can blog when I’m out and about. Sorta hard to do for xanga. But I’m still learning. I love how we have categories here so I can blog all I want and put each entry in there right spots. I love blogging, just trying to find myself while doing it and be comfortable doing it at the same time. So you perfer wordpress over xanga? You have help me out more then you know and will do that as well. Hopefully to have it done very soon. Excited about my classes starting again. Thank You Again.. 🙂

  4. I only got better at writing through internet and social networking. The more you write and the more you read what others wrote, the more you learn it. 😀

    Just out of curiousity, what do/did you major in?

    WordPress IS the best blog carrier out there, and I’ve been in 3 different sites. The blog I have right now is my second with wordpress. You can tell by the blogname. They are constantly improving the site. WordPress just got the best features and updates.

    Goodluck on blogging and having more viewers. I’m sure you’ll inspire them.

    Boy, I really need to update my About page. hehe 😀

    1. I must agree! Im psychology major! Love it! And having essays to do every week is helping, or helping little by little. I went to your about but didnt see anything, but I make sure to go check again. Right now Im so digging wp to be honest and I done had two other blogs before I came here!

  19. Honey, you just keep pouring your heart out to our Lord! He hears us and continues daily to help us along the narrow, but Abundant Way He has provided and marked for us to follow. It’s not always easy, but the good news is that He has anointed us for the hard, “difficult” times. It’s a partnership between the Lord and us: He’s not going to give up on us, and we need to make that decision to “never give up” as well. You just keep moving Forward! I know about the struggle, and can tell you it IS worth it!

  22. I talk about God too, sometimes, on my pages and even though I think (from hints I’ve picked up) some of my readers are non-christian, I still hope they’ll take the time to read the ‘Godstuff’ and be impacted somehow. Ikm also undergoing a sort of spiritual renewal, you see. 🙂

    Your blog is beautiful. Your thoughts are eloquent and honest. I know what it feels like to lose your faith. Many people go through that phase on the journey. I did. Just know that God hasn’t fallen out of love with you. He is so much closer than you think. The fact that you are journeying towards him to recover your faith has such a powerful impact on his heart. So just rest in him and allow him to reveal to you the heights, depths, width, and breadth of his unsurpassing love for you. I would recommend picking up John Eldredge’s Sacred Romance. It is a great book that touch your heart on our journey. I look forward to reading more of your post. Thanks for stopping by my blog.
